Formal advertising of this timber sale will occur between January to March 2025. This pre-advertising is occurring to allow prospective bidders to view the sale before inclement weather or snow makes the sale inaccessible. Viewing of this sale now will allow prospective bidders to better prepare a tender when the sale is advertised and tendered. Field Team: Campbell River Field Team 2 Location: Atluck-Helen Creek TSL \ : TA2711 Blocks: ARas5PJ, ARas5PL, ARta5PG Estimated Term: 24 months Estimated Area: 51.3 hectares Estimated Volume: 28,215 m3 Estimated Species: Hw 14,108 m3 Fd 12,697 m3 Ss 1,410 m3 Harvesting Method: Hoe forward and Grapple Timing Restrictions: none anticipated Road Use Charges: Atluck Main from 0 to 11.3 km is WFP road permit, expect road use charges. Safety Alerts: Steep road grades over 18%, slopes >35% within harvest area, karst, rockfall hazard Additional Information: Access can be limited due to snow in the winter, WFP does not normally plow snow on Atluck main.
