Measuring equipment for soft magnetic materials Automation engineering team at Department of Mechanical and Materials Engineering University of Turku calls for tenderds on an automatic measuring system to characterize soft magnetic steel rings and strips at AC conditions. The main purpose is use in education as test stand for electrical engineering (BSc) and machine design (MSc) courses but also for research (Major in electrical and automation engineering) on different materials and manufacturing technologies. The purpose is to test different manufacturing techniques and measure electromagnetic steel properties of manufactured, using different manufacturing techniques, samples. This applies to traditional electrical steel manufacturing techniques and process chains as for example melting, casting, hot rolling, cold rolling, annealing, laser cutting or punching of sheets, stacking rings of lamination sheets, but also amorphous core rings as well as additively manufactured sheets and rings without and with post processing stages, e.g., coating. Additionally, measuring of stators is required as an option. The scope of the purchase is the main cabinet containing all instrumentation, software, training. The main cabinet should be possible to be used as stand-alone with manual winding on the selected test sample. e.g. ring or stator core. The instrument must also fulfill the following minimum requirements in addition to what is described earlier: - BH-curve measurements - Iron loss at wide frequency range - Separate eddy and hysteresis loss parts - Measures sheets, strips and ring samples - Modular structure - Frequency from DC to 20 kHz measurement points - 2 different exemplary ring samples to be able to verify the measurement repeatability of the cabinet with the provided reference.
