Les Communes de Sénéchas et du Chambon (Département du Gard) ont exprimé le souhait d'engager une procédure d'aménagement foncier, par Délibérations de leurs Conseils Municipaux en date du 30 mai 2023 et du 9 juin 2023, respectivement. En date du 1er décembre 2023, le Conseil Départemental du Gard, par Délibération n°24, a institué la Commission Intercommunale d'Aménagement Foncier (CIAF). Le Conseil Départemental du Gard, en application de l'Article L. 121-15 du Code Rural, engage et règle les dépenses relatives à de telles opérations, et doit ainsi réaliser les études préalables à d'éventuelles opérations d'aménagement foncier sur les territoires concernés.
