Das Universitätsklinikum Düsseldorf (UKD) betreibt eine moderne, hyperkonvergente HPE-Infrastruktur mit Broadcom "VMware"-Software, die virtuelle Backend-Server bereitstellt, z.B. für das zentrale Krankenhausinformationssystem und dessen Subsysteme, die über die Rechenzentren zentral zur Verfügung gestellt werden. Diese Infrastruktur wird durch Technologien von Broadcom "VMware" auf einem aktuellen Softwarestand gehalten. Aufgrund eines Audits muss die Umgebung horizontal skaliert werden, um die Kapazitäten zu erhöhen und den IT-Service in einem zentral verwalteten VMware vSAN Cluster zu optimieren. Der Cluster besteht aus vSphere-Hypervisoren, auf denen mehrere virtuelle Ma-schinen laufen. Zur Überwachung wird VMware Aria Operations verwendet. Das UKD nutzt Veeam Backup & Replication, um die virtuellen Maschinen zu sichern. Im Rahmen der Ausschreibung sollen zwei VMware-Cluster - der GLT-Cluster (Gebäudeleittechnik) und der DMZ-Cluster (Demilitarisierte Zone) - skaliert werden. Aufgrund der IT-Strategie des UKDs ist es aus Gründen der Betriebssicherheit, Risikominimierung, Reduktion des Schulungsaufwands und betriebswirtschaftlicher Effizienz notwendig, Server sowie zugehörige Supportleistungen, insbesondere den "HPE Complete Care Add-On" proaktiven Support von HPE, zu beziehen, da es sich um eine Erweiterung der bestehenden Hardware handelt. Wichtig ist, dass die Hardwarelösungen unter der bereits im UKD verwendeten HPE-Softwarelösung (HPE OneView) verwaltet werden. Neben der geografischen Redundanz müssen die gelieferten Systeme auf einen professionellen Betrieb in Rechenzentren mit zwei separaten Stromkreisen und redundanter Netzanbindung ausgerichtet sein. Dies bedeutet insbesondere, dass alle Geräte mit mind. zwei Netzteilen für die Stromversorgung und einer ausreichenden Ausstattung an Netzwerkkomponenten geliefert werden müssen. Bei Störungen müssen diese im laufenden Betrieb ersetzt werden können. Die Hard- und Software darf ausschließlich als original Neuware angeboten werden.
