The National Barangay Operations Office (NBOO) will continue its efforts in providing capacity development interventions to BADACs guided by integrated approaches employed by the national government in its campaign against illegal drugs. A National Training of Trainers on SICAP BADAC was conducted earlier this year to which Philippine National POlice (PNP), Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) Department of Health (DOH) Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) Commission on HUman Rights (CHR) and the National Youth Commission. Relative thereto, as a follow through activity the Provincial Team together with the aforementioned partners will conduct a Roll-Out Training on Strengthening the Capacities (SICAP) of BADACs prioritizing the remaining Drug Affected baangays. For Albay, as of July 2024 there are thirty-six (36) remaining drug affected barangays that will be targeted for the said training. This aims to provide the barangays necessary knowledge, skills and attitude to effectively perform their duties and functions to attain and sustain drug cleared barangay status. Lastly this is a continuous effort to sustain the gains in the fight against drugs. Hence, this design.
