Now in its third year, the expo will be held from October 24-26, 2024, in Urbiztondo, San Juan, La Union, followed by a familiarization tour around the province on October 27-28, 2024. For this year’s edition of the travel expo, the regional offices of Northern Luzon chose the Surfing Capital of the North as the venue, inviting participants to enjoy the sun and surf under the theme “Finding the One to Love.” The focus this year is not only on revitalizing the tourism industry but also on promoting biodiversity protection and conservation in coastal areas through sustainable tourism practices. The event seeks to become an annual tradition, showcasing the collaboration between the government and private sectors within the tourism industry. It is organized with the primary aim of benefiting tourism stakeholders, including local travel agencies, tour operators, local product sellers, and business owners, ensuring the inclusive recovery of various sectors in the industry. This year’s expo consists of the following components: • Whole day Business-to-Business (B2B) sessions with international and local buyers which shall provide a platform for tourism stakeholders to experience innovative ways of developing business connections and update local industry partners with the latest tourism offerings scheduled on October 26, 2024; • Familiarization tour around the Province of La Union; • AVPs and Product Presentations by DOT Regional Offices; • Musical Concert at the Event Area of Urbiztondo, and; • Beach, surfing, and conservation related activities (Pawikan beach run, surfing lessons & clinic, tree planting, etc.) The DOT-Region V’s participation in the NLTEX 2023, together with its local tourism stakeholders, is an opportunity to showcase the Bicol and promote its tourism products and services in the North Philippines and its regions. Moreover, it will also strengthen linkages among tourism stakeholders through the B2B and B2C activities. OBJECTIVES • To support domestic tourism and ensure simultaneous and safe reopening along the value chain. • To support its goal to advocate biodiversity protection and conservation in coastal areas through sustainable tourism practices. • To gain familiarization with North Luzon regions, their tourism products, facilities and services. • Develop and expand the market connections of Bicol with the stakeholders in North Luzon and others regions thru B2B and Tourism Expo participation. • To intensify promotion of the Bicol Region in the North Luzon market. SCOPE OF SERVICES AND DELIVERABLES The Department of Tourism V requires the services of a DOT accredited local tour operator to provide and/or arrange the following requirements based on the proposed tour itineraries herein included: I. Plane Transportation • October 23, 2024 (DRP-MNL) – 4 pax o Morning Trip II. Bus Transportation (Aircon, Premier/Skybus/With Solo Seater) • October 23, 2024 (Cubao-Vigan) – 4 pax o Morning Trip after arrival in MNL • October 27, 2024 (Vigan-Cubao) – 4 pax o Morning Trip before check out • October 27, 2024 (Cubao – Legazpi City) – 4 pax III. Accommodation • October 22-27, 2024 - Two (2) Quad sharing room for 6D/5N • October 23-27, 2024 - One (1) Quad sharing room for 5D/4N IV. Prepaid E-Load for seven (7) pax (Smart, Globe, TNT, TM) V.
