| Overview | Vaestfastigheter Sgl Demolition and Recycling Vaestfastigheter will issue a request at the end of February beginning of March for a turnkey contract to demolish approximately 20,000m2 with associated construction, shafts, sheet piles and earthworks. Vaestfastigheter (the customer) has a high ambition to reuse materials. The general contractor must actively work with att reuse as much as possible of the building before demolition. Alternatively, materials from the building must be recycled. Estimated start of production is autumn 2024. In order to enable the Sahlgrenska Life project, which will connect research, education, healthcare and industry within Life Sciencece, is a prerequisite for the demolition of a number of buildings in the northern part of the Sahlgrenska hospital area. Sahlgrenska Life is an investment for future research and care. By developing businesses and buildings, the Vaestra Goetaland region and the University of Gothenburg create competitive environments forleading research, education, care and innovation. The Sahlgrenska Life project is jointly developed by the Vaestra Goetaland region, the University of Gothenburg, the City of Gothenburg and Akademiska hus.
