Overview	Delivery and Assembly of Traffic Monitoring Systems City Biel, Directorate Social Affairs and Safety Department of Public Security, Police Inspectorate In order to monitor and optimize traffic safety and the enforcement of the urban traffic regime, the city of Biel monitors, based on the legal provisions of the federal and canton, as well as based on the concession granted by the canton of Bern, the rolling traffic in the entire urban area by means of inpatient and semi -fighter traffic monitoring plants. In order to further optimize traffic safety in the city of Biel, existing locations (mast and housing, control box and floor loops) are to be permanently equipped with cameras (supplementary procurement, lot 1), built additional locations approved by the canton and equipped with cameras (new procurement, off 2) As well as the existing and aging semi -stationary systems are replaced by new ones (replacement procurement, lot 3).
