The layout is a campus with more than 30 buildings accessed through a series of roads, paths and parking lots. The existing asphalt surfaces are exhibiting surface distress and required resurfacing to maintain a safe environment. Scope of Work:Contractor shall provide all labor, materials, supplies, equipment, tools, and supervision necessary to provide paving at various locations throughout the Bath VA Station. The work includes milling and overlaying asphalt pavement at the locations shown on the contract documents. Work also includes resetting various catch basin frames, and painting pavement markings within the work areas. Work is to be performed under active traffic and contractor shall provide adequate work zone traffic controls. Code requirements: The work shall be performed in accordance with all applicable codes including Veterans Affairs standards which can be found at https: www.cfm.va.gov til . This will include, but not be limited to: Department of Veterans Affairs Design Manuals, VA Publications, and Construction Standards, National Fire Protection Code (NFPA), Life Safety Code, Underwriters Laboratory (UL), International Building Code IBC, National Electric Code (NEC), the VA Information Security Handbook 6500.6, Occupational Health and Safety (OSHA), and Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) requirements. Work zone traffic control shall be performed in accordance with the Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices (MUTCD)Specifications: Please see attached.General Requirements:The contractor shall review the contract documents for conflicts.
