Overview
Wildland Urban Interface (Wui) Rish Assessment and Mitigation for Fire Service Description The Department of Homeland Security Federal Emergency Management Agency U.S. Fire Administration (DHS FEMA USFA) intends to negotiate and award a purchase order on a sole source basis with the Society of Fire Protection Engineers (SFPE) 9711 Washington Blvd, Suite 380, Gaithersburg MD 20878 The SFPE uniquely developed software for wildfire risk assessment with high tech systems for determining mitigation strategies. There are no other software applications with these capabilities and proficiencies for managing a community-s risk for WUI incidents. The SFPE has specialized knowledge and training material content for fire mitigation strategies in the Wildland urban Interface (WUI). FEMA determined that the SFPE is uniquely qualified to perform this work. This purchase order will be awarded using simplified acquisition procedures in accordance with FAR Part 13.
