This work would be a full replacement of the dust collector system to include a combustible dust and fire protection management system that meets current NFPA guidelines. All existing duct work must be replaced and redesigned to be efficient when collecting dust. This will also require the removal and disposal of the old unit and duct work and installation of all new equipment. Dust Collector Requirements All welded minimum 7 gauge mild steel construction Exterior surface painted to withstand exterior temperatures Leg support to provide minimum 48” clearance to provide area for dust collecting Standard inlet, minimum 17” diameter flanged Steep hopper with access cover, minimum 60-degree, single outlet discharge flange to match rotary valve Top mounted explosion vent with weather cover and burst indicator Side mounted sprinkler coupling with head Side mounted blower flange Ground test documentation Inclined Exhaust Fan, minimum 70 dBA at 3ft, 40HP, 3/60/208V, TEFC motor Rotary Valve, 14-18”, 1HP, 208V, NFPA 69 compliant Electric control panel, NEMA 12 enclosure, 40HP, 208V variable frequency drive for main blower Shipping of All Items/Supplies Installation of all Components All Equipment Rentals Relevant to Installation Process 3.2 Ductwork Galvanized steel construction, quick-fit, clamp together and angle ring flanged SITE VISIT A site visit will be held on Feburary 1st , 2024 at 2:00 PM EST. While attendance is not mandatory, it is highly recommended. Vendors are encouraged to inspect the site in order to satisfy themselves regarding all general and local conditions that may affect the cost of contract performance to the extent that information is reasonably obtainable. In no event shall failure to inspect the site constitute grounds for a claim after contract award. Please arrive at the Moody Air Force Base Visitor's Center no later than 1:30 PM EsT for check-in (required for all contractors prior to entering the base) to ensure on time arrival for the site visit. BASE PASS: For completing the attached base pass forms please put your business name next to the "Prime Contractor" spot (where ABCD is present). Replace the name John Doe with the full name of the member requesting base access for the site visit, include date of birth (SSN is NOT to be added on the form but may be needed for check-in) and company for all additional members that may be attending.
