End Date 11/13/2024 12:00:00 PM (EST) Inquiry End Date Summary ADA REQUEST: Two ASL interpreters needed for upcoming in-person events hosted by the Department of Administrative Services, Directors Office for DAS Perspective Series. Each bid must include an hourly rate per interpreter (no group rates). 6-8 DAS Perspective Series events annually: 2 ASL interpreters for 2 hours each – estimate 32 hours annually. These events are generally held at the James A. Rhodes State Office Tower, 30 E. Broad St., Lobby Hearing Room, Columbus, 43215. 2-3 other events as needed: 2 ASL interpreters for between 2-8 hours each – estimate 16 hours annually. These event locations are TBD, but generally held in, or around, Columbus, 43215. Interpretation needs are varied for these events, including lecture and Q&A with program participants. The events will be hosted IN-PERSON and livestreamed to an online audience. Other necessary logistical details will be shared with the successful bidder(s) to help you prepare for the event. In your bid response, please be sure to address the pricing structure identified (i.e., hourly rate per interpreter, etc.), but also your ability to do the following: Interpret at a high register to accommodate master degree level participants Be able to clearly and effectively interpret complex terms (i.e., definitions and legal compliance language) related to the Americans with Disabilities Act Be able to confirm availability to provide the requested number of interpreters IN PERSON  Be able to arrive 15 minutes prior to the start of the event Rate Calculation Example: (1.00 event + .50 pre-event + .50 post-event = 2 hours scheduled service) ($65.00/hour x 2/hours of service = $130.00 x 2 interpreters = $260.00 total)   Process The Ohio Department of Administrative Services is soliciting for two (2) ASL interpreters for upcoming in-person events hosted by the Department of Administrative Services. Each bid must include an hourly rate per interpreter (no group rates).    Please be sure to include the state contract number in the contract column of the grid, if applicable.   Completion of the grid is required and will be considered the response for evaluation.  No outside/additional documentation will be considered.    The State Standard Terms and Conditions apply to this solicitation.  No additional terms and conditions will be accepted. Selection will be based on the lowest responsive and responsible quote. DAS may execute a written contract with the awarded supplier.
