Ordering Location and Address: Malabar Farms State Park 4050 Bromfield Rd, Lucas, OH 44843 Project Background:  We have several roofs on the property that need to be properly cleaned, primed in areas that need it, and then painted. Specifications/Scope of Work The main barn roof, the silo roof, the restroom roof, and the corn crib roof will all have pressure washed and cleaned with the proper soap to remove all loose paint, mold, and oxidation.  All areas where there is visible rust will be painted with a rust inhibiting primer.  Any portions of the barn will be masked off to prevent overspray. Two coats of Kool Seal roof paint will be sprayed on the entirety of the roof.  The two coats will need to be applied on separate days.  Any overspray that gets on the barn itself will be repainted white.  Service required: Work required and steps needed to complete the project. The work can begin after Service contract and Purchase Order is completed; however, work cannot be done on the weekends that we have barn dances or weddings.  Deadline will be June 15th, 2025. Work to be done any time Monday through Friday.  Saturdays and Sundays will have to be approved by the manager in case there is a wedding or a barn rental. Vendor is responsible for clean-up and hauling away any empty paint containers or anything else they are using on site. Vendor responsible for getting permits for the work if needed. Vendor is responsible to supply all materials needed for the service. A rust inhibiting primer must be used prior to the roofs being painted.  The paint used must be Kool Seal roof paint and must match the cupolas that were recently repainted.   Photos: Completion Date: Work must be completed by June 15th, 2025. Once a contract is awarded, failure of the bidder to have requested a site visit to become familiar with the facility and requirements of the bid will be insufficient reason to support any request to be released from the contract. Project Award For bids involving service projects on DNR property, the lowest apparent bidder will be required to provide 2 examples of similar completed projects including photos.  Provide the person’s name, organization name, phone number and email address for each project example.  In addition, the bidder must complete a pre-award meeting with appropriate DNR staff to ensure that the materials and scope are mutually understood.  Evaluation.  The contract will be awarded to the lowest responsive and responsible bidder as determined by the State. Contract Award.  The contract will be awarded to the lowest responsive and responsible bidder by low lot total.  Low lot total will be determined by multiplying the unit cost by the estimated usage listed in the bid and then adding each of the totals together to arrive at a total for all items. Failure to bid all items may result in the bidder being deemed not responsive.
