Overview | The City of Monterey, California Request for Proposals Mark Thomas Drive and Sloat Avenue Separated Bike Pedestrian Path Study, Preliminary Design, and Environmental Document This scope of work involves developing recommendations for future improvements to Mark Thomas Dr., Sloat Ave., Fairgrounds Road, and Casa Verde Way. The consultant shall study the corridors, provide recommendations, and develop preliminary engineering plans for a preferred concept for final design. Recommendations will consider different alignments, sections, and design concepts to meet the goals of the NCIP project application (Appendix C). The study will consider the associated costs for design, right-of-way acquisition (if necessary), environmental mitigations, and construction. The study will consider funding opportunities and the potential grant programs to fund future phases. The study will screen for potential environmental impacts and if necessary, recommend mitigation measures. The environmental documents will cover the full project; however, the project may require phased construction based on the availability of funding. The design should be able to separate work into smaller packages.
