The Ohio Tobacco Quit Line is a service that helps tobacco users quit by providing counseling services, practical information on how to quit and FDA-approved nicotine replacement therapy. Every state in the U.S. operates a tobacco quit line. Operation of a state tobacco quit line is required as a condition of funding that Ohio Department of Health (the Agency) receives from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. The Agency’s Tobacco Use Prevention and Cessation Program (TUPCP) is dedicated to reducing the prevalence of tobacco use in Ohio and the associated health effects by supporting program activities funded through the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention's Office on Smoking and Health. TUPCP manages policy, prevention, cessation and grant initiatives including the work associated with this RFP, the Ohio Tobacco Quit Line.
