Quantum Computation and Sensing Using Biology Description The Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA) Quantum effects in Biological Environments (QuBE) program, which ran from 2010-2015, laid the foundation for quantum biology by demonstrating coherence in photosystems, magnetic field responsivity of cryptochromes, and isotopic sensitivity in insect olfaction.
