Introduction The United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) in Vietnam seeks A national firm to conduct research on open burning and test out possible solutions.  UNDP Viet Nam and the Regional Hub in Bangkok are collaborating to launch a capacity development training targeted for senior provincial policymakers (Secretaries/Directors), with an initial focus on 2 Provinces with potential to scale up in subsequent years. The main objective of the training programme is to build and strengthen the capacity of provincial policy makers on the just transition and the creation of an enabling policy environment for MSMEs engagement in the transition. Moreover, the programme will pay special attention to women and youth-led MSMEs to support an inclusive and just transition.  Policy makers from several departments and working on a diverse range of topics that are key for the just transition will be the expected beneficiaries of the training. The aim of the initiative is providing inputs into wider national policy training curriculum, and to scale-up materials from this training to all Provinces in Vietnam. In particular, the training programme will focus on the following pillars and goals: •Capacity Building: Enhance the skills and knowledge of senior provincial policymakers in Vietnam in creating and implementing policies that support the just transition and the engagement of MSMEs. •Enabling Policy Environment for MSMEs: Develop a supportive policy framework that encourages MSMEs to engage and accelerate the just transition. •Inclusivity and Equity: Focus on promoting and supporting women and youth-led MSMEs to ensure an inclusive and just transition. •Scalability: Establish a training model and curriculum that can be scaled up to other Provinces in subsequent years, expanding the impact of the program.
