Acquisition of KKTT equipment for the head area The Imaging department of the Päijät-Häme wellness area is requesting an offer for a direct digital head area imaging equipment that can take cone beam tomography (KKTT) and, if necessary, panoramic tomography (PTG) images of the head area. The device will be placed in the Imaging Department of Päijät-Häme Central Hospital. The device must be suitable for both accurate dental imaging of small volumes and imaging of large volumes of the head area such as sinuses and jaw joints. If necessary, the equipment is intended to image the middle ear as well. In the Imaging Department of Päijät-Häme Central Hospital, about 250 sinus and 50 ear, 300 dentition and jaws and individual TMJ examinations are performed annually. About 1,200 PTG scans are performed each year. In addition, 120 skull images are taken with a cephalostat per year. Imaging is done for both children and adults. Filming is mainly done standing, but also sitting on a bench or wheelchair if necessary. The device will be placed in the Imaging Department of Päijät-Häme Central Hospital and will replace the department's old KKTT equipment. Currently, dental radiologists and doctors use the Romexis software for image processing, and the intention is to use it in the future as well.
