Training of Trainers TOT on Cashew Nut PostHarvest Handling Practices Tenders are invited for Training of Trainers TOT on Cashew Nut PostHarvest Handling Practices Title Training of Trainers TOT on cashew nut postharvest handling practices Position Short Term Consultant Cambodian national Location 1 Keo Seima district Mondulkiri province and 2 Lomphat district Rattanakiri provinces Duration of Assignment From 20 November to 13 February 2024 Level of Effort LOE Maximum 21 days Reports to Private Sector Relations Manager USAID Morodok Baitang Objective of the training The objective of the assignment is to provide training of trainers TOT to project technical staff and lead key cashew nut producer group members on Post Harvest Handling through practical training program on maintaining quality standards and reduce losses of cashew nut from Harvest to Markets The training program will include a summary of training materials with illustrations and training activities It will be prepared based on field observation of farm owners current practices of postharvest related papers and stakeholders 1 USAID Morodok Baitang UMB is seeking a local consultant to provide training of trainers TOT on cashew nut postharvest handling 3 Scope of work Tasks The consultant will 1 Conduct field visits to investigate the current practices on post harvest handlings to cashew farms and meetings with key cashew nut actors and UMB technical staff to obtain necessary information before the training package is designed Field visits will be conducted including meeting UMB technical staff to observe the cashew nut post harvest in one of the two provinces The field visits will be taken for 3 to 5 days 2 Develop practical training materials on Post Harvest Handling on cashew nuts based on information obtained from point 1 and other best practices The training materials need to include maximum practical activities plus followup technical coaching The package also needs to include good practices and what should Do and Dont The training materials will be translated from English into Khmer and the consultant will be responsible for this translation Cashew Nut Harvesting methods Sorting and Grading Drying humidifying packing and Storages for processing and transporting The developed materials training deliveries and recommendations must be complied with conservation compliance of UMB and US Environmental Protection Agency EPA The training materials will be shared to UMB internal uses and training to cashew nut producers 3 Submit the training materials to UMB for review and approval 4 Deliver 2 day training courses for each site province and follow up with at least 1day technical field coaching The total participants of the training program in the 2 provinces will be 30 to 40 people UMB technical staff and key producers which are divided into 2 training groups 1 per province They are 1 group 1520 people in Keo Seima Mondulkiri province and another group 1520 people in Lomphat district Rattanakiri province UMB will coordinate the logistics and participants for the training program BRANCH OF ARD INC Center Street Sothearos Building F 5th floor room 571 Phum 1 Sangkat Tonle Basak Khan Chamkar Mon Phnom Penh Cambodia Tender Notice International Competitive Bidding Cambodia GT90846922
