Khazna Solar Photovoltaic PV 1500 MW Independent Power Project Expression of Interest are invited for Relation to the Khazna Solar Photovoltaic PV 1500 MW Independent Power Project in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi The Project will comprise inter alia the development financing construction operation maintenance and ownership of a greenfield solar PV plant with a power generation capacity of 1500 MW AC together with associated infrastructure the quotPlantquot The Plant will be located in the Al Khazna area of the Emirate of Abu Dhabi The Project is the latest in EWECs marketleading and strategic programme of largescale solar PV procurement with the aim of meeting the UAEs decarbonization objectives The Project will closely follow the model of the Emirate of Abu Dhabis successful lWPP Programme and will be structured as a standalone independent power project The developer or developer consortium will enter into a longterm power purchase agreement quotPPAquot with EWEC the single buyer of power and water capacity and output in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi The PPA will be structured as an energy purchase agreement whereby EWEC will pay only for the net electrical energy supplied by the Plant All interested parties are requested to submit an expression of interest quotExpression of Interestquot at the earliest opportunity and no later than 1200 noon local time in the City of Abu Dhabi on 2 October 2023 by electronic mail to khaznapvprojectewecae Each Expression of Interest must specify the name address telephone number and email address of the appropriate authorized contact person the quotContact Personquot from the developer to whom all future correspondence should be sent together with a brief description of the entity expressing interest including but not limited to size number of employees country of incorporation and business profile Following a review of the submitted Expressions of Interest by EWEC the relevant Contact Person will be notified by EWEC to advise whether the developer has been selected to proceed to the next stage The Contact Person of each selected developer will be provided with a Confidentiality Agreement and a Request for a Statement of Qualifications quotRFQquot The RFQ will provide additional details regarding the Project prequalification criteria and the bidding process After RFQ the subsequent Request for Proposal to qualified bidders will be shared following regulatory approval of the project Nothing contained in this invitation to express interest shall constitute an agreement contract warranty or representation between EWEC and any other party EWEC reserves the right to modify this invitation and the contents thereof and or the process related thereto in its sole discretion including but not limited to the recipients of any RFQ EMIRATES WATER AND ELECTRICITY COMPANY EWEC Building name EWEC Building Street Name Fatima Bint Mubarak Street City Abu Dhabi Tel 97126943666 khaznapvprojectewecae Tender Notice International Competitive Bidding United Arab Emirates GT89078715
