Bird International Airport Airfield Rehabilitation   The Antigua and Barbuda Airport Authority (the “ABAA”) is seeking to undertake improvements to enhance safety of airport operations at the V.C. Bird International Airport. As part of this work, the ABAA is proposing a rehabilitation of its runway and other airfield surfaces as part of the continued long-term safety and reliability of the airfield. Based on the submissions received under this Tender, the ABAA intends to immediately proceed to a construction phase commencing by June 2025 of the proposed work. The ABAA invites open tenders from qualified Contractors for the contract:  V.C. BIRD INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT AIRFIELD REHABILITATION   in accordance with the Tender Documents, Specifications and Drawings. Tender package can be downloaded from MERX www.merx.com. Proponents will be responsible for registering with MERX to be able to download all the necessary documents related to this solicitation. The work to be executed under this contract comprises of airfield civil and electrical construction works; including but not limited to asphalt and concrete milling, excavation, granular and stabilized bases, asphalt paving, concrete paving, pavement line markings, runway grooving and airfield electrical works.      A Bid Bond in the amount equal to 10% of the Tender Price, and a Consent of Surety or Agreement to Bond for the following must accompany each Tender: Performance Bond in the amount of 50% of the proposed contract value Labour and Materials Bond in the amount of 50% of the proposed contract value Tenders meeting the mandatory tender requirements will be evaluated for their technical qualifications.
