Hankkeen toteuttamisesta vastaa Väylävirasto. Hankkeessa parannetaan muun muassa nykyiselle paikalleen valtateiden 9 ja 13 liittymä rombisena eritasoliittymänä. Eritasoliittymän yhteyteen rakennetaan myös joukkoliikennepysäkit ja liityntäpysäköintipaikka sekä jalankulun ja pyöräilyn yhteydet valtatien 9 yli. Valtatien 9 ja Hohontien liittymä parannetaan ns. lohenpyrstöliittymänä. Myös Hohontien liittymään rakennetaan pysäkkijärjestelyt sekä jalankulun ja pyöräilyn yhteydet valtatien poikki. Valtatien 9 ja Puhakantien liittymää parannetaan rakentamalla valtatielle väistötila. Valtatielle 9 rakennetaan ohituskaistapari. Hankealueelle toteutetaan myös melusuojaustoimenpiteitä, uusia kevyen liikenteen väyliä ja yksityistiejärjestelyjä. Hanke toteutetaan STk -urakkamuodolla.
