THIS RFI IS RELEASED PURSUANT TO FEDERAL ACQUISITION REGULATION (FAR) PART 15.201 FOR MARKET RESEARCH PURPOSES ONLY. THIS ANNOUNCEMENT IS NOT A REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS (RFP) AND SHALL NOT BE CONSTRUED AS A COMMITMENT BY THE GOVERNMENT TO SEEK PROPOSALS OR AWARD A CONTRACT AT THIS TIME. *** SUMMARY: The Government is seeking sources for Market Research ONLY to support the services listed below for which the applicable NAICS code is 237990, Other Heavy and Civil Engineering Construction. The Product Service Code (PSC) will be ZIPZ. The Standard Industrial Code (SIC) used is 1629. The size standard for small business is $45,000,000.00. Interested parties sought for a construction of the project described below. This project will be solicited as an Invitation For Bids (IFB) contract. NO AWARD will be made from this Sources Sought. NO SOLICITATION, SPECIFICATION, OR DRAWINGS ARE AVAILABLE AT THIS TIME. necessary to perform the described services below are invited to provide feedback via email to: karen.smith@usace.army.mil. Veteran- -Disabled Veteran Owned small business, -Owned small business, etc. ADDITIONAL PROJECT DESCRIPTIONS: The following description is a hypothetical project for a hypothetical railroad bridge located in the Bay Area. The bridge is no longer used for rail traffic and one side of access has had the rail removed. It consists of a vertical lift steel bridge center section between two steel support towers. The center section span is approximately 214 feet (ft) and estimated weight of approximately 300 tons. The lift span is still in use to provide clearance for marine traffic. The bridge spans a narrow tidal canal with a depth of approximately -30 ft Mean Lower Low Water (MLLW). The towers provide a maximum vertical clearance of 135 ft above Me...
